Rumor: Maybach and Aston Martin End Their Partnership?
What happen is the rumor about the separation on Maybach and Aston Martin were true? Well, some of partnerships might be last, and some might have to choose their own way and move on. That is probably what happen with Maybach and Aston Martin. You probably not aware but Volkswagen just ended their partnership with Suzuki, and Fiat is about to fill the empty spot left by Das Auto.
Yup… to add quarreling list this 2011, we present you the Daimler luxury car division – Maybach, and Britain pride – Aston Martin which specializes on fast luxury cars. So, what is the deal between these two? Let’s find out, shall we?
From the Aston Martin’s point of view, the sportscar maker stated that they are asking too much to put together the upcoming Maybach models. Hmmm… someone has been asking too much, eh? Umm… we don’t mean to pick sides, but probably Maybach is struggling with low sales figures and they have to use the financial sources as effective as possible.
Let’s put it this way, if Maybach granted all Aston Martin’s wishes, that will cost them all the financial sources they have. Question: if Maybach is putting all their resources, will it guarantee that the product will bring back all their money? What if the sales figures don’t go like they have expected? That is right… Maybach burnt their money for nothing.
Probably that is why the relationship between Maybach and Aston Martin is on the edge of breaking or about to separate. We found out that Aston Martin would put together a successor to the Maybach 57/62. In return, Maybach would provide their hybrid technology which is a 4.6L V8 with twin-turbocharged and the ML-Class platform so Aston Martin can create their very own SUV. Well, guess we will not get the chance to see the Maybach 57/62 and Aston Martin SUV, right?
